3G Application Lab Launched

Alatto, The Dublin, Ireland based provider of 3G consultancy services today announced the launch of its Advanced Handset Lab. The new AHL group will focus on the development of applications and products for Java enabled mobile handsets (phones, PDA's and Pagers).

David Cotter, Technology Director for the Lab commented "We are delighted to be able to dedicate resources to this specialised centre. Our group has developed a lot of expertise in 3G handset application development, including developing imode, WAP and CHTML systems. This new unit will focus on developing applications and Software development tools for developers for the new generation of Java enabled handsets. We are developing applications using J2ME, Midp, iappli and other emerging client side technologies for the range of devices including PDA's such as the Blackberry and the NEC 3G Foma handset and we are now creating an expertise centre around these emerging technologies.".
