Showcase Wireless Products at O2 GPRS Launch Show
In conjunction with mobile operator O2, Alatto launched a
number of significant products at the GPRS network launch
event held on the Dublin Point Depot on 21 January 2002.
Remote Viewing: SecurityWatch & TrafficWatch
For the Corporate market, Alatto introduced SecurityWatch
and TrafficWatch.
SecurityWatch allows real time security camera images to be
viewed on mobile handsets. Targetted initially for markets
where wireless remote viewing of assets, installations and
sites is a major benefit, the SecurityWatch system integrates
with existing security camera networks, including thermal
imaging (night vision) systems.

TrafficWatch
is a system which allows traffic camera data to be viewed on
a mobile device. For the GPRS launch event Alatto operated in
partnership with Dublin Corporation Traffic Division to provide
a system that allows anyone with a mobile device to view images
from traffic cameras throughout Dublin. Both SecurityWatch and
TrafficWatch use the same image processing and filtering systems,
developed by Alatto, to allow optimum images display on mobile
devices. The applications are written as handset resident applications
so the user need only perform one download. The applications
have been tested on both GPRS and UMTS (3G) handsets and can
operate across a range of devices.
