Memphis is a suite of products designed to help maximise the revenue potential of MMS. It is composed of: · Memphis Platform · Memphis MMS Composer · Memphis Media Library · Memphis Subscription Server (available 3Q 2002) · Memphis Response Server (available 4Q 2002) · Memphis Bulk MMS Server (available 4Q 2002) Together these provide a full suite of functionality to create a complete user experience for MMS messaging. Memphis Platform – The Memphis Platform is the basis for the entire suite and provides the underlying MMS functionality including interfacing with the MMSC, marshalling and dispatching the messages, generating CDRs, integrating with prepay systems and providing links to customer information systems. Also included is a bulk content ingestor. Memphis MMS Composer – The MMS Composer is an end-user tool for composing and editing MMS messages. It includes powerful graphics manipulation functions, sound attachment features, sophisticated preview and the ability to output SMIL files. It is also fully integrated into the Memphis Platform and allows images to be saved and edited from the Memphis Media Library as well as providing direct dispatch of messages through the Memphis Platform. Memphis Media Library – The Media Library provides a full archive and management of MMS messages for both 3rd Party Content Providers and end customers. It allows storage, upload, searching, categorising and sending of MMS messages. It provides the ability to gather messages from users either through a web, wap, email or MMS interface. The Media Library has sophisticated features to ensure images are correctly formatted for devices using SMIL independent reformatting. Memphis Subscription Server (available 3Q 2002) – The Subscription Server allows the creation, maintenance and dispatch of MMS Subscriptions. Users can subscribe to message services based on a variety of conditions including daily, weekly, or event based triggers. Memphis Response Server (available 4Q 2002) – The Response Server is used to allow users to pull information in the form of MMS messages by requesting them via MMS, SMS or email. Applications include premium rate MMS requests using response codes.
